So one of my followers, and someone I follow started a Tag.
What makeup Product started your love affair /obsession with MakeUp.
Well let's see, I have dabbled in make up for the better part of this past year, and did my eye make up but nothing that really made me love it dearly until really recently. And that would be the tokidoki collection done with Smashbox. I love tokidoki, and when I had found out that they did a collection with Smashbox that was all I needed to hear. I eventually got the entire collection on Ebay, and love the packaging, the colours, the textures, although I don't use it often for fear of it running out because it's a limited edition, I take very good care of it. After that I got really serious about make up in general.
I started watching makeup video's religiously after that. I watched some before, only one or two people, but I really branched out after that and found so many great people, and wanted to learn more about the art of make up. Because to me, Make Up really is an art. Alot of Mac Artists agree that it's a way of transforming yourself, but I prefer the ideals of Kat Von D. For those of you who don't know who she is, she's a tattoo artist. She was on a show called Miami Ink, where she guest tatoo'd for awhile but problems with her personality and the owner of the shop Ami (pronounced Ah-me, not amy) caused her to leave. She eventually got her own show cause her personality is just that great, and she said this about make up.
"Makeup is part of my daily routine. It's the time in my mornings when I can concentrate on me, and me alone. Giving yourself that kind of attention is so important—and is something that is definitely glossed over by too many women."
So after hearing that, how could you not love make up? It's a confidence booster, it's a girly thing, that only other girls, or transgenders, or tranny men will understand. I don't judge. It enhances your features, it's fun to collect, it brings you back to a time of playing dress up and pretend, a time when things were alot more simple, alot easier, and taking that 5 - 20 minutes in the morning to yourself, when you get ready, to sit down, and decide, "Who do I wanna be today?" harkens back to when you truely believed you could be anyone you wanted to be. And that fact seems to fall away as we get older, and the reality of bills, and money issues, and relationships of the romantic kind sort of take over our life. And then kids, and worrying about having enough time for everything and everyone, and all your make up goes to hiding in a drawer and all you're concerned about is time, and not having enough of it.
That is why on so many make over shows, they tell you that you can have a 5 minute face, and look fabulous still, but just taking that extra 5 minutes to really concentrate on yourself is what makes all the diffrence. Make up is a way of taking care of yourself, of bringing out your creative side, and showing your individuality, because not all colours look the same on everyone. The same make up colours even applied with the same technique will make two people look very diffrent. It just has that power.
It's also been ingrained in us that make up and looking polished is part of a higher standard. You'd never let yourself go out of the house looking a tragic mess. And because I went to Catholic school from 7th to 12th grade, and was made to watch documentarys on the Holocaust and Hitler, and read the Diary of Anne Frank EVERY year, here's a little known fact for you. Women who were held in interment camps, corraled like sheep, would mix a drop of their water rations, and dirt to make a sort of makeshift eyeliner, they would pinch their cheeks to make them look like they were wearing rouge, and they would suck on their lips to make them red to give the illusion of lipstick. Why? Because it was a standards thing. Make up to some people may seem materialistic, but to others, it's a means to an end. It's something that becomes a part of you.
Now with that being said, do I agree with Haul Videos on youtube? yes, and no. Yes because people who do reviews on things, like Pinkiecharm (if you haven't guessed with how many times I mention her Miss Irene is onna my favorite people on youtube. ^^) it's a necessity. How are you going to know what to ask for if you dont know if she has it or not?
But there are some people who do brag. Like haul videos that span 3 and 4 videos at 10 minutes each or something of that sort, that's going a little to far in my own opinion. Then you really are just bragging. I personally like watching haul videos and really could care less if it's bragging or not. I'm just saying, you can tell who's bragging and who isn't.
And i've really just rambled all over the place with this haven't I? Well I'm really tired, and just started typing about something and kinda couldn't stop with just one topic so forgive me if this Tag turned into a makeup vlog of sorts... sorry about that. Lets see, about the Tag part, I tag whoever wants to do this. :) It's just the easiest way. ^^

New Mini Haul & some Lingo..
Ahoy there my fellow addicts of all things pretty! So in this post I'm going to share with you all what I got tonight, all drugstore stuff, so if you're looking for higher end purchases, please check back in a few months or so. I have a couple things from Mac but only from a CCS. So yeah.
So tonight I went to CVS cause I needed make up removing cloths, and I wanted to try Neutrogena's answer to St. Ives apricot scrub. So I got their Deep Clean gentle Scrub with scrubby beads, and umm yeah. It smells pretty good, and since the toner and moisterizer I use are also neutrogena, I thought maybe it would be a good idea to continue using the same company. I dunno why I think that, I just do.
I also got a package of Biore' or however you put the accent over the E, deep cleansing pore strips. I have very deep pores on my cheeks and my nose, and no matter what product I use to remove black and white heads, if I squeeze the tip of my nose, there's still stuff there. (pardon that gross image, but hey, it's not like pimples and break outs are new to anyone on here, so hush.) So I had tried these back when I was in highschool and they definately worked, but I had no way of paying for them, and it wasn't something my grandmother was going to buy for me all the time, so I had to give them up after the original package was gone. So I'm going to retry those.
I got a large tube of Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque. It's supposed to help dry up acne, rinse away blackheads and shrink enlarged pores, so I'll update you all on how well that turns out if at all.
So thats all the skincare stuff I got. Now onto the make up. I didn't get much, but I like what I did get.
I got a compact of pressed powder in "buff" from Almay. I remember watching a review Pinkiecharm did saying she really doesn't like Almay's make up, but I have one of their eye colour kits with the eyeliner, three eye colours, and I also have a lip kit, with the lipstick and lip liner and I happen to like both so I thought I'd give it a try. Buff is the same colour my purity mineral make up foundation is in, so I thought maybe instead of that, since it's loose powder and it goes EVERYWHERE when I try and use it, I could use this, and see if it matches up, cause goodness knows Almay is a hell of a lot less expensive than the purity minerals.
And then, I got a new lipbalm from Burt's Bees. Now I had one that I bought in the lil glass pot, I think it's lime flavor/scented and I never connected that it was Burts Bees, until I saw the same box that I bought on the rack. Now I've noticed that ALL of my followers are from the UK except for 1 I think you're from Ireland right? Yeah, well I watched a video from Lollipop26 and she said Burts Bees is really expensive in the UK. Is it really? Cause they have new stuff with Pomergrante oil in it, since I'm allergic to coconut, that limits the amount of burts bees stuff I can use. They have cute lil "head to toe" sets I wanna get one, maybe next time. But yeah I'm wearing the lip balm now, and it makes my lips feel very slidey if that makes sense, kinda waxy, and a lil bit tingly, I'm not really in love with the scent, but if it puts moisture into my lips and keeps them from getting chapped, I'm sold!
Then I got some stuff on sale, three things actually.
I got two Revlon products that had 50% off stickers on them. I got a eyeshadow trio in Olive it up. It's not greenish tinted in the slightest to be honest. It's a chocolate brown, a cream colour and then a lighter colour of the brown in the corner. It's a "make a sheen" type, number 865. I dont think it was a very big hit at the store that's next door to my work, so that's why it was half off, they wanna get rid of it.
I also got a lipgloss from the same "collection" I guess you could call it, in Creme De La Chrome by Revlon and the colour is called "Plum Appeal" number 375. And it's this gorgeous metallic cranberry pomergrante colour, I fell in love with it. Normally I don't do Revlon stuff, I stick to Almay, CoverGirl, or Rimmel. Revlon reminds me alot of my grandma, she loved their mauve lipsticks, it was the only colour she ever wore, I think I mentioned that before. She used to go to Chanel, and Estee Lauder and buy a lipstick and get the free gifts and give them and the bag to me cause she didn't wear make up, just lipstick. She had green eyes and I hated her for it. My envy runs deep people.
And then from Rimmel, I got a Cool Matte 16 hr Mousse Foundation in 103 which is True Ivory. They didn't have any beige or buff colours so I got this one cause it was the lightest colour they had, and it was 75% off so if it doesn't work with my skin tone I can feel better about it. xD It's alot more liquidy then the mousse eyeshadow I have from Maybelline. I guess to blend better? I dunno, but I'll try it, cause the other foundation I think was making my skin red and irritated around my nose, cause since I stopped using it, and just used my mineral make up, the redness is gone, and my nose doesn't hurt anymore. So yeah. Maybe I'm allergic or it just broke me out, I dunno. So yeah that's my haul, mini as it is. Nothing too overly exciting for you guys who buy Mac and Nars and alla that good stuff.
Now onto the lingo part. Alot of videos I watch on Youtube, there are catch phrases that they use, and people in the comments on the bottom always ask the same things. SO, I thought I'd post some terms, slang, and what not here to kinda give people a heads up on what the terms mean.
Back to Mac: This is Mac's "recycle" process if you like. There are certain items that Mac sells that you can return to the store if you have one near you, or a Mac Counter at Macys or Nordstroms or whatever, Sephora, all that, and when you hit 6 emptys you get a free item. Now in a video I watched by TiffanyD I believe, she warned that some stores are cracking down on having the pans in there, which means you actually USED the product up already, and didn't just depot the shadow or blush or whatever. So be sure to ask bout the Back to Mac policy at the store you're purchasing your Mac items from to save yourself some embarassment once at the register.
Mac Pro: Mac Pro is another branch if you like of Mac. They specialize in diffrent colours, shades and what not for mostly make up artists but really anyone can go into a Mac Pro store, or call the 1-800 number and place an order for things. That's really the only diffrence. The variance in shades, and certain products that Mac doesn't sell in it's general perminant line because it's not something used by the general public. Like stuff for photoshoots and etc.
Pro Pans: Eyeshadow at Mac comes in alot of forms, pots, pigments, and pro pans. Pro pans are just that. Pro colours in pans the little silver pans the eyeshadows sit in once you've depotted them from the black casing. Alot of eyeshadows which are replacement shadows if you wanna think of it that way, come in those small pans to save you the trouble of continually depotting shadows to fit in the palettes which hold up to 15 shadows at a time, blush palettes hold 6 I believe, just as an FYI.
Palettes: They just all seem to run together dont they? Palettes are usually bought from Mac Pro stores. They hold like I said 15 eyeshadows or 6 blushes and they also have quads so you can pop out 3 or 4 or 2 if you like from your main palette to take whatever colour combo you're doing that day with you. Pretty nifty eh? I believe they're 12 dollars, the palettes for the 15 and the 6 not sure how much the quads are. I'll find out and post.
UDPP: This is an abbreviation for Urban Decay Primer Potion. An eyeshadow Primer that is worn on the eyelids to set your shadows, make them more vibrant and hopefully keep them from creasing on you during the day. It is one of the two most famous eyeshadow primers on the market, the other being Two Faced Shadow Insurace by non other than, Two Faced. The pro's and Con's are greatly argued by Guru's. And while UDPP has a better rep for being the best formula, shadow insurance is popular for it's friendly packaging. UDPP has a tendancy to dry out or get stick partially up in the tube and is a bitch and a half to get once it's gotten that way. You're only options at that point are to either throw it away and get a new bottle, which is a waste of both product and money, OR get a small jar, a sharp knife or scissors and nerves of steel and cut the tube open on both sides and scoop out what remains into said jar.
That's what people mean by Two Faced Shadow Insurance having more user friendly packaging cause it's tube kinda reminds me of toothpaste. o.O
Dupe or Dupe-able: This is a short way of saying Duplicate. There are alot of companys, like E.l.F, and Milani, that make lower cost products to rival what the bigger companies are doing colour and packaging wise to attract the audience. Such as, Milani having a blush that is a fair duplicate for Nars' Orgasm. Or E.l.F saying sorry to L'Oreal in their campaign to duplicate L'Oreal's mineral make up line, in packaging, and colour shades.
Haul: This is a big one that constantly confuses me to this day that people dont understand what this means. So here goes, Haul is a noun. It means collection. Hauling, is a verb, it means the act of or the process in which one goes through to make a Haul. But enough smartassness from me. A Haul is basically a collection of stuff, whether it be make up, or games or marbles, or poptart boxes, the item really isn't important, it just means that it's part of a group of stuff that somebody has purchased. Like me tonight with the buncha stuff I bought from CVS. That is a haul. I went in there, bought stuff, and brought it home with the intent on reviewing what I got, and hopefully that'll help someone when they go to their walgreens, or rite aid or Super Drug for you Uker people, make a choice between brands. It's pro's and con's it's good and bad points, well you get the idea.
CCS / CCO: These abbreviations stand for Cosmetic Company Store, and Cosmetic Company Outlet. These stores that can be freestanding, part of an Outlet mall or attached to another store, (like my CCS is a part of Saks Fifth Ave. at my local mall) that sells make up from past collections at discounted prices. Usually its either not been sold, or time on the product has run out, or the company needs to move it out to make room for it's new stuff. So basically when you go into one, and you see Mac stuff there, it's basically been given a discount sticker because it didn't all sell before the next collection came out. I've seen reminants from Neo Sci Fi at my local CCS, and I know that iamgrape1116 I believe or 1119 can never remember, she saw Heatherette and Fafi stuff at the bloomingdales! Also at my local mall, she doesn't live to far from me. :D So yeah if you loved a collection, and didn't get everything you wanted, and you have a CCO or CCS near you, check there to see if they have any at a discount before you make the move to ebay and get jacked up prices which are ridiculous.
227, 118, 213: These numbers are usually used to refer to Mac brushes which come with numbers to identify what they're used for. Eyeshadow, Face powders, lip colours, eyeliner, etc. There are ALOT of brushes and they are not cheap by any stretch of the imgination, and I suppose you can decieve yourself into thinking that Mac brushes are an investment and if well taken care of, they'll last you probably not forever but a good solid couple years.
Me, I love my make up, I love doing make up, but until I can afford that kinda stuff, my cheapy brushes will just have to do. When I get a better paying job is when I'll start building my kit to be a make up artist. :)
So that's all I can think of that're asked ALL the time. Hope that helps anybody who didn't know. ^^ Enjoy your weekend, and hope to post to you all again soon!

My Origins...
So one of the posts I said that I'd be doing would be my Origins post about how I got into make up and such because I actually didn't get a chance to do my eyeliner comparison yet, and I really wanted to make a post to get into the habit of doing this all the time. So here goes.
So unlike most girls who start off with make up in their like junior high school days, or sometimes even younger at like 10 when you get your nails painted like mommy. Mine really didn't start until... I was about..26. I KNOW right?? I mean when I was younger, I used eyeshadows, basically this frosty purple colour cause I like how it contrasted with my eye colour, and purple is one of my favorite colours, and this was even before I knew that purple is a colour that makes brown eyes pop. So there yah go.
I just, was never into it, I was a very big tomboy that bit my nails, and didn't wear make up, and never did anything with my hair, I'd grow it out real long and do nothing with it. Now my hair type is very thin and baby fine, so it can't be to long or it starts to weigh down on it'self and look horrible. So I keep it collarbone length at it's longest and just below the chin at it's shortest. But that's another blog. So yeah make up was never a big deal to me. And I wish I could say my wanting to go to school to be a make up artist or nail tech is because of this life long love of make up and this burning desire to show how much I love it and this that and the other thing. But sadly, it's not. But I'm getting ahead of myself.
So when I was 24 I was in a car accident. Just humor me. And I lost my job because I was under so many restrictions I couldn't work there anymore. I had torn a ligament or tendon or something at my lumbar spine, and all I knew was that it hurt like hell. I couldn't walk for more then ten minutes at a stretch before I had to sit down and rest for about 20 minutes so the dull burning pain would go away. It was awful. So two years later, at 26 I got hired with a temp agency and started working at my current employer. That is where I met Melyssa.
Melyssa, wasn't a really prissy girly girl. She was into dirt bikes and fishing, and drinking, and all that southern girl type stuff right? But she was just enough of a girly girl, to love doing her make up. She has those chamelon eyes, that shift from blue to grey to green depending on what mood she's in yah know? And she had her hair dyed black, and it was really long, so in short I hate her? lol, I always say one of my biggest disappointments in my life is the fact that both my older siblings got my mom's pretty blue eyes and I have brown. BUT, that's what they make contacts for bitches! LOL i know I'm rambling all over the place.
Anyways, she got me into make up, and I enjoyed doing it once I saw how using diffrent colours change the way your face looks. And the more I did it, the more I loved it, and kinda got obsessed about it. And that's what led me to youtube. On facebook, I had subscribed to the MAC page there. At that time, they had just done the release of the Fafi line, and I loved all the dolls and the pretty colours but I really just watched. Then, I looked up "MAC Hauls" on youtube and it lead to xteener, and Fafinettex3, and Whatstyleistonickel, and from them I found other people like Pinkiecharm, and Lollipop26 and Loulud81, and AllthatGlitters21, and xsparkage, and Kaikhaod, and all these people who do the best tutorials and give the best advice and best tips and tricks and reviews on all kinds of stuff. Youtube I swear is like the visual wikipedia, it's great.
So that really fueled my desire and love of make up, and then I started watching not just every day make up, like the neutral looks or the pops of colour every now and then for going out to clubs or special occasions, but like fantasy make up, for Ren Faires or, make up shows, and the colours, and visions, and alla that, it's what I love.
I used to draw alot when I was younger, but I lost touch with it from an immense artists block and never went back to it, because everytime I picked up a pencil and stared at the bare sheet of paper, I couldn't see anything. There was no object I wanted to draw, no thought in my head, no nothing and it was so frustrating I didn't know what to do.
But when I look at a person's face, I try to determine their best feature. For alotta people who have either deep set eyes and using shadow on them wont make them pop because you can't see the colours except when they blink, or their skin and how smooth and even it is, to make it glowy or dewy, or radiant or whatever adjective you'd wanna use, or their lip depending on their shape, and how full they are. All those factors determine what I'm going to do.
I fully believe in the "one or the other" rule. If you've determined like I have that your eyes and lips are your best two features, then you play up one, and down play the other. If you're going to do a dramatic eye, then do a nude or pastel lip, if you're going to do a dark red or full on colour lip, then a neutral eye would look best. That's just soley my opinion, but I don't wanna overdo it. And that's the keep in mind rule I have.
So that's led me up to today, and where I wanna be tomorrow. Hope you enjoyed reading. More coming soon I promise.

So that was the tag. The update is just to let people who read this know that I did go back to cvs after work and exchange the eyeliner for another one that actually worked, and I stood there at the counter, but kinda off to the side and opened it in front of her just so I could make sure it worked before I left the store and was disappointed. I was really hoping that the one i returned was defective and I just wasn't reading something on the package that you're supposed to twist or poke or something and look like a complete mental case for not being able to get it to work. But it did work so I'll be doing a comparison review between that, and the other liquid eyeliner I have, to compare the applicators. So yeah this weekend I'll getta crackin' on that. And uhhmmm... yeah the exchange was really dumb cause she couldn't just exchange it, she had to give me back the money, and then I bought the other one, only to give her back the money she just handed to me. o.0 what kind of moroness is that? Anyways! Thanks for reading, and I'll be back with that review sometime this weekend.
OH and another thing I wanted to mention. The gradient peach to purple look that I was talking about in my last post. So I tried it today, and it didn't turn out well at all. >.< All the colours kinda blended together and weren't distinctive or vibrant or non of that. The problem, i'm thinking was that I put them over a white base. I used the dream matte mousse eyeshadow in white veil or some such, which, isn't on the maybelline website either, I went there after finding the only one white mousse they had at CVS, to find out what other colours they had and if I liked the white one I was going to get others, well I didn't find any others or any mention of the product at all. 0.o it was really odd people.
SO the whole point of that rambling which I find that I do quite a bit now, is that, the colour of your base can drastically effect the colour of your shadow. A perfect example of that with proof is Lollipop26's lil experiment with the painterly and uhh blackground? paintpots and how diffrent the eyeshadows came out being layered over the top of such drastically colour wise bases. SO i'm going to try a neutral one from the nudes palette I bought last night, and also try the dark chocolate brown either from the same nudes palette, although that one is a bit too bronzey / shimmery, I may just use the other half of the olive duo creme eyeshadow from Elf. I'm not sure yet. Matte would be better I think, so yeah, I have a beach sand type of colour in the coastal palette by revlon in the creme shadows, at least that's what I think it's called, Coastal Blues or something? I dunno and im to comfortable to go get up and look. Anyways, I'll let you guys know how it turned out.

Mini drugstore haul...and a cry for help?
Okay, I went into CVS under the premise of getting shampoo cause I ran out, and Pert two in one..... o.o yeah that's alla ima say about that. My hair goes flat and not even my Got 2 be stuff can put umph back into it. So meh, I went there and got TRESemme' 24 hour body "Healthy Volume" shampoo and conditioner. It smells like the rest of the tresemme line which is fine. Although I always prefer Herbal Essence when it comes to smell. But I bounce back and forth, when one stops working for my hair. ;p
So yeah, the extra's that I got were Covergirls wetslicks in Amazing mint, after watching a review from PinkieCharm that it tingles nicely, not burns, and it smells like toothpaste. And she was right! I like it. Honestly it's horrible because as we make up addicts always ask ourselves even before we've bought it, "how many _____ do you really need?!" and it all depends on your weakness. Alot of people admit to having one, PinkieCharm fully admits to being a lipgloss whore, Lollipop26 admits to having to many highlighters, and she really does need to do that video about all her highlighters cause I'd love to see how many she actually has. :D Mine? eyeshadows. It's just a good thing I don't live close enough to a free standing MAC store or else I'd be so broke, and lose my apartment. ;p Favorite colours of eyeshadows? purple cause I have brown eyes, it's supposed to be the best colour for said shade of eyes, white shimmer, cause I think it's pretty on me, Pink in gradient, a look which I'm working on. I'm going to get a camera and start doing videos myself. It's one of my resolutions. And... greys. Simply because, grey, white, black and pink is my favorite colour combo for anyone who knows me. :)
Anyways, I also got another creme shadow palette in 710 "Not Just Nudes". It kinda reminds me of the stages of rue. For any of you southerners, or people who enjoy cooking from New Orleans, rue is a mix of fat and flour. It's a thickening agent basically, like Okra, for stews, jumbulaya, or ( i cant really spell it so I'll just sound it out) Eh too feh! :D and yeah the stages are Blonde, Caramel, and Dark. And that's kinda how this palette looks. The first colour is a blonde rue type colour, and it's sheeny, not sparkly. It's pretty, the second (from left to right btw), is a medium rue shade, caramelly type of colour, and it's also sheeny and a bit of shimmer. The next one is kinda the same colour, BUT it's matte. Which is nice, and the last is a milk chocolate dark rue type of colour with sheen as well and shimmer. Not glittery, there's no big chunks of sparkles or anything so I like them. They're basically the poor mans paint pot. xD which is basically what I use them for. lol
And the last I have to say im a little disappointed in at the moment. It's cover girls Line exact. I cant really do a inital review on it, because the damn thing doesn't work! I opened it and went to test it on my hand and........nothing. No lines, no mark, no NOTHING. I'm SOOO taking this thing back tomorrow on my lunch hour to get another one, cause this is crap! I dont want my money back, I want to try this, to see if the pen is any better for me than the liquid liner from presitge. My hand shakes to much to use it properly. I like pencil liners, but I love the fluidity of gel and liquid liners. I like my H.i.P fluid liner, it's just the brush they give you is really rough on the eye area, and even after I washed it, it still kinda hurts. I have essence of beauty brushes, one of which from the mini travel set I bought awhile back is an eyeliner brush, but it's not angeled or anything and even though I've used it once, and it went on okay, I'm going to assume that an angled brush would work better. Any ideas?
And so yeah, that's my mini haul and rambling and what nots. Im going to work on my make up area on the patio summore this weekend. I wanna get those lil mini chest of drawers to seperate all the stuff I have. I need to get containers for all my eyeliners and lip liners and brushes and stuff yeah. Also, a tip I got while watching MAC storage videos on youtube was to use that shelf liner stuff on the inside of the drawers in black so the paintpots and eyeshadow pots dont move around in the drawer. A tip I thought was pretty smart, I'll definately try that. :)
Thanks for reading. Feel free to comment, and give me any advice you'd like. As as make up newbie really, I can use all the help I can get.
ALSO; I need you alls help. I use neutrogena for my face lotion. The one for dual skin, cause I have combination skin, with the usual dry around the nose and on the cheek patches, and Oily T zone area. But lately, I dunno if it's because Florida is finally having a bit of a chill here, (it went down to 39 degrees here, which I know isn't really that BAD, espically for me being born and raised in Boston, MA, but for florida, that's cold people!) but my moisturizer isn't working as well as it used to. I use the recommended one pump for my whole face, and when I rub it in, my face feels kinda tacky almost, it's not smooth and soft like I know lotion is SUPPOSED to leave your skin. So suggestions on a new moisturizer? Cause I noticed today that I have really dry patches around my nose, and on one cheek there was actually flakes and I didn't notice it until I was DONE with my make up, so yeah that was really blah today.
I'm also thinking that maybe I'm not using a good cleanser either. I wanna go back to using my St. Ives apricot scrub cause I used to LOVE that stuff, it worked wonders on my skin, made it soft, and smooth and touchable.
So yeah, any help? Anyone? please? =/

So yeah, any help? Anyone? please? =/

Everyday Minerals
Hello Blogger Peoples! So I'm bored tonight, so I'm watching ALL of Pinkie Charm's haul video's next is SephoraJunkie's if I stay awake after all these are done. :) I love watching Haul videos, I dont think they're bragging, or showing off and anyone who thinks that is dumb. But that's just my personal opinion.
So I have some stuff to talk about, and also two reviews on NYX stuff and yeah.
Onto my first review;
Nyx eyeshadows, I used Herb and White Pearl the other day in a look along with E.l.f's creme shadow for a base. I have yet to get to a mall to get two faced shadow insurance, simply because even though Urban Decay Primer Potion has gotten equally good reviews, the problems people mention about the packaging just kinda put me off about it, I'll get around to trying it one day but I'd rather try something with more user friendly packaging. Espically since I'm still a newbie to all this high end stuff.
But back to my eyeshadows. The creme shadows were really nice. The consistancy was awesome, just as good as the ones I have in my revlon palettes, just as creamy and shimmered nicely. The NYX went on smooth and they were so pigmented that I actually had to ease up on the application because normally I was used to having to, as Richie Nickel would say, "pack it on loads" just to get the colour to show up, so I'm really glad that they're as pigmented as they are. So I like them alot, and I'm really glad I got them. I shall steer clear of the trio's though, and stick with the singles.
Another review is on the NYX lipstick. I used Athena, which is the frosty lilac colour that I had mentioned in my last haul thingie. I only reapplied once throughout the day, and it stayed shimmery all day long, so I was very happy about that. Now I watched a video from Lollipop26 saying that diffrent Nyx lipsticks have diffrent consistancys which, I totally found to be true when I swatched the lipsticks when I got them in the mail. Some are more slick then the others and yeah. I still recommend them though because their colours are pretty, and they cover your own lip pigmentation pretty well.
So the reason this video is entitled Everyday Minerals, is that I requested a free sample kit from them. The three sample size mineral foundations, one cheek colour and one concealer. I'm going to give mineral makeup another try. I had signed up for Purity minerals, but apparently wasn't using it right, and it wasn't covering up anything, not my uneven skin tone, not anything, it was just kind of sitting there. Now I know you actually have to work it into your skin, but still I dont believe it's the right shade for me, so I ordered one from three diffrent tone families to see what my real match would be. If all else fails, once I get my tax returns I'll go to a M.a.c counter and ask them to colour match me with studio fix fluid.
Now I have a liquid foundation which is really 4 or 5 colours in one, you know that bottle? The um.... aw crap, now i gotta get up and get it... *brief pause please*... okay Im back! Revlon Custom Creations, in "Light". Because I've gotten rather pale lately. And I'm not going to tell you all why, but yeah. I tried to mix colours with the darker colours to find my perfect colour, but to not avail. But lately I've been just using number 2, which isn't the lightest colour, but one up, 5 being the darkest. And it covers the uneveness in my cheeks fairly well, as well as on my nose, and yeah, blends well and whatever. I just don't know if it's making me look washed out and matches or not.
I'm mortally afraid of looking like this lady I work with. She is a step out of the 80's in a bad way. She packs on the concealer, to where her face is like 3 shades darker than her neck, and it's noticable, which is bad. The blush is so bright it's horrible, her eyeliner is so thick and not like in the good emo girl type way.. it just looks very dated and uneven and piled on. I don't wanna look like that, I wanna know what my colour is so I can look just....pretty. Yah know?
So yeah, we're going to try everyday minerals and I'll let you know if it breaks me out like it does some other people I've watched on youtube.
So more on the table on the patio idea, I am going to get a nice little table cloth and the vanity mirror like Elle has from Sally's Beauty Supply. There's one near my house and I'll probably go tomorrow cause I have nothing to do other than laundry. I shall keep you updated on that, and hopefully take pictures and yeah.
later peoples!

MakeUp Thoughts.. and last box
Good Eve! So I'm home and I have half an hour before I start my laundry, so I thought I'd blog about some thoughts I had about my make up. My vanity is just way to small now for all the new stuff I've gotten, even with all the stuff I've gotten rid of. SO, there's this table that was here in the house when I moved in that was where my entertainment center is now. And it's on the patio at the moment, but I thought since I really don't use it for anything, that I could maybe get one of those light up mirrors from walmart or super target and go put my make up stuff out there, since there's natural light out there, which is where you should really do your make up or so im told, I thought it'd be a good idea. So yeah.
My last box of ordered stuff came just a few minutes ago, well half an hour ago, at like 20 past 7, I didn't even know UPS delivered that late. o.O But anyways, it had two of the three Beauty Rush dual mists I ordered during their Semi Annual sale. I ordered Slice of Heaven, Candy Baby, and Appletini. But Candy Baby was on backorder. I did go to Victoria's Secret in my mall (Sawgrass for those of you who care, not many yeah i know) but the place was a disaster area. They did have Candy Baby, and quite a few of them, but the place had been torn apart by people, and there were long ol' lines at the counters and honestly since I'd already ordered it, even if I got it for 8.50, it really wasn't worth waiting in that line. I'll just wait til it's sent to me.
And then... there was something else I wanted to say and I can't remember what it was...*jepoardy music* ....OH, my hello Kitty wishlist, I think it's up to 204.00 dollars. Ridiculous right? I saw the pictures on http://www.fafinettex3.blogspot.com Fafinettex3's blog page. She got it from someone else's blog so credit to them both for the pictures and prices. By the way, anyone who reads this, if you're going for the collection it comes out on February 12th, I believe. I'm so staying up February 11th, till it's on the website so I can order my stuff and just get it over with.
But yeah this is my wishlist...
Lips; Straying - 14.00 & Cute Ster - 14.50
Lipglass; Mimmy (kitty's twin sister just as an fyi) - 14.00 & Fast Friends - 14.00
Blush: Tippy 22.00
Nail Polish: basically all three of them, Something about Pink, On the Prowl, & Vestral White, all three are 11.00 a piece.
Brush Collection - 49.50 I dont have any mac brushes, I have a buncha cheapy ones but yeah.
Make Up bag - 35.00
Mirror - 22.00
-----------------------------------
204.00 total.
It's okay though cause I got my W2's today, so I can get it! Yay!
So that's about it. Enjoy and all that happy stuffs!

HAUL!!!
Yay, so both my Elf and Cherry Culture hauls came in today, YAY!!! I have been waiting for them for a long while now. So all I have left to wait for are my beauty rush dual mists from Victoria Secrets and that's it for me until Hello Kitty and Mac make their debut in February. Really excited about that. I already have money saved up for it, I dont want the whole collection, cause I really wasn't sold on the Tomcat eyeshadow palette, the colours were pretty but, i have stuff that's too similiar to alot of the colours already. I'm only planning on getting the lipsticks, lipglass, the compact mirror, and maybe the plushie. Maybe. Anyways, on to the haul!!
So from E.l.f or http://www.eyeslipsface.com I got the following....
I got a Foundation Brush, cause I've always used sponges up until now. But, the round sponges even though they say they're good for foundation on the package, they're fulla shit, they suck! All the product gets sucked into the sponge itself, and nothing goes on your skin at all. I had the triangle ones and they worked better, but Walgreens (at least the one I went to) didn't have them, only CVS had 'em so meh. So I'll try the brush after I wash it, and we'll see how it works out.
Next I got two Blushes from them, one in "Innocence" and one in "Shy". Shy is more pink and Innocence is more peachy. I liked 'em both when I saw them on the website, so yeah. I got 'em both cause at the time I only had one blusher colour and it was really bright pink, it was from onna those colour workshop type things my mommy bought me for christmas one year. They have pretty good pigmentation for something like that, but it was just to bright to wear everyday, even with a light hand. - -; They didn't blend very well either.
Then, I got two packs of shine erasers cause my skin can get really oily depending on what way I clean my face. If I use the neutrogena pod thing with the scrubbing pads, then it gets oily later on. If I just use the face wash, then it doesn't. Go figure, but my skin feels smoother and fresher after the pod. I dunno. But anyways I got those, and there's 100 sheets for 1.00 so I got two.
And finally, I got a creme eyeshadow duo, in Olive. One side is a mossy green colour and the other is a brown colour. I like the pigmentation and texture of both. So yeah.
So that's all I got from them. Then I got stuff from Cherry Culture cause I wanted to try out Nyx eyeshadows...
So from Cherry Culture or http://www.cherryculture.com I got;
6 round lips sticks. In -
o1.) Femme, which is a really bright pink, I like it though
o2.) Tea Rose, which is a pretty dusky rose pink
o3.) Thalia, which is really popular with alotta youtube girls, so I thought I'd try it, it's almost like Tea Rose but it's more mauvey.
o4.) Medusa, which is a really REALLY dark burgandy almost purple colour that I liked. I dont plan on wearing it everyday, but I liked it, and thought it was a colour I should try
o5.) Strawberry Milk, which is a baby pink colour, it's really pretty and very shimmery.
o6.) and then finally Athena, which is a frosty lilac colour.
I like all 6 of them. I swatched 'em on my hand, maybe I'll be able to take picture of it with my new digi cam, lets find out. Okay, took pictures, now hopefully they come out. Anyways, moving on.
I got 5 Nyx eyeshadows. In -
o1.) Herb, which is a shimmery green colour.
o2.) Rootbeer, which is a sorta purpley brown colour.
o3.) White Pearl, which is...duh WHITE. lol and it's very shimmery as well.
o4.) Violet, which is a really pretty purpley plum colour.
05.) and finally Nude, since everyone needs neutral colours... except for Richie Nickel that is, who only has expresso for his eyebrows. :) Btw, it's a very sheer colour, its really peachy.
Then I got two blushes from Nyx as well just to check out diffrent brands.
o1.) Silky Rose which is very nude tone pink.
o2.) and Natural, which is also nude tone pink but about a shade lighter then Silky Rose. They looked diffrent on the website but meh, i like 'em still.
And finally two nail polishes, one in Cappucino, which is a milky chocolate brown and Asphalt which is a sheer black with tons of multicoloured glitters.
Also the freebie cherry roll on gloss that cherryculture gives you as a gift, I like it. I haven't had a roll on gloss in ages!
So yeah that was meh haul. It's alotta stuff I know but, I'm just catching up to everyone else. And don't worry with all this new make up, please believe there are old palettes in my collection that have NO pigmentation at all that will be heading for the trash. Now that I know what quality is, I'd never go back to mediocre stuff, why would anyone do that? Right? SO yeah, hopefully my camera works and I get pictures up on this thing too for swatches.
Enjoy!

:edit: yeah the camera's a no go, it's too blurry, oh well, I'll get a disposable one soon. ^^

So this is where I thought I'd start my whole make up thing, since here seems to pick up pictures better than my myspace. Plus alot of other famous makeup guru's have their blog here so, thought it'd be a perfect place for me to settle in. Have to see about changing this bg, though. I miss my tokidoki. Anywho. Hai!!
