Now that I have my taxes, I can afford to continue to add stuff to my make up kit. So I went to Walgreens to get Mountain Dew, my favorite drink of all time, and came back with almost 60 dollars worth of stuff, so this is what I got.
I got a box of Neutrogena cleaning wipes. Cause I'm almost out of my other ones. I need to get another tube of the scrub I used to cleanse my skin so I can do what Petrilude suggests, cleansing twice. Once to get the make up, dirt and oil off your face, and the second time to actually cleanse. Yep, gonna take his advice, he's a professional, and yet another reminder I have SO much to learn.
I got two new blushes, because the containers are huge and they're hue's I dont have yet. I got two CoverGirl "TruBlends Minerals" blushes. One in 425 Pure Romance which is shimmery pink colour, and Shimmering Sands which despite it's name and you thinking it'd be a brown or even tan colour, it's more rosey. They both leave a shimmery gleam after they've been worked into the skin, and I think they're pretty. The containers are farkin huge too, 18 grams for pity sakes, for like 7.50 or something like that which is 5 pound 26 in the UK, I looked it up :D SEE i do stuff for you guys! But yeah the powders are really pretty. They come in a sifter jar, and with a little puff each. I prefer a brush but yeah. I'll do a proper review once I've used them for awhile.
I also got a product that my favorite reviewer PinkieCharm on youtube used for her cuticles. Burts Beez Lemon Butter cuticle cream. I used it before I "attempted" my own french manicure, which came out horrible I might add, my left hand shook so much trying to put the lines on my right hand it was ridiculous.
I got a Nail art pen in white, from Sally Hansen to do aforementioned nail care, and it it works pretty good although it reminds me of working with a white out pen for typing mistakes yah know? On a type writer if any of you have ever seen one, i know it's considered ancient now a days with computers but yeah. It doesn't have to much staying power, and it bleeds pretty bad when you get to the corners of your nail but again, my hand was shaking pretty bad trying to draw a straight line so yeah. - -; I'll have to practice with it summore to master using it.
I got two new brushes from studio 38 or whatever it's called. It's a dual end shader and liner brush, I didn't realize it was dual end until i bought it. I also bought a single eye liner brush for my H.i.p gel eyeliner because the brush it came with is crap, and the Beauty Essentials brush that says "eyeliner" is a rounded brush instead of a angled brush, it's fibers aren't stiff enough and it just plain sucks so hopefully this one will work out better. I'll let you know.
I also bought a complete travel brush kit. It's a plastic case that when you open it has the brushes in the middle that ark and pop up. There's a blush brush, powder brush, eyeliner brush, eyebrow and eyelash brush, lip brush, eye shadow brush, and a mini mirror. I thought I could use that for my "clients" instead of having to worry about transferring my germs to someone else by using my other brushes.
Plus I remember watching Bolyre I think is how you spell his name, he hasn't made videos in forever but yeah, he said that he keeps his personal brushes seperate from his client brushes. And that to me sounds like a really good idea. SO, that's the point of that purchase. Plus it's compact enough to bring with me should I need to go somewhere, like to someone's house and do their make up. *nods*
And I think that was it. I've finally finished cleaning off my bereau and am going to put all the make up I have been piling up on my desk out to my make up area, and put all my nail stuff in the cubby where my WoW stuff used to be. ^^ Just to keep everything in it's own place yah know? So yeah. Thanks everybody for letting me rant and whine and bitch in my last post, I was just really upset trying to figure all this stuff out. But I've talked to some friends who support me and I feel better. Night!
